In November 2015 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo, which included the work Il barcaiolo by Achille Formis Befani. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,200.00 55% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Achille Formis Befani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le bagnanti in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 42,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il barcaiolo von Achille Formis Befani zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.200,00 und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Achille Formis Befani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le bagnanti im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.000,00.
