Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Interno di chiesa by Achille Cattaneo was auctioned at Il Ponte in November 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 300.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Achille Cattaneo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Il Pulpito Del Duomo di Milano, which sold at auction in June 2005 for EUR 620.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Interno di chiesa von Achille Cattaneo im November 2016 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 200,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Achille Cattaneo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Il Pulpito Del Duomo di Milano beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für EUR 620,00 versteigert wurde.
