This artwork by Abraham van Diepenbeeck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2002. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Equestrian portrait of Cardinal Infante Ferdinand of Austria (1609-1641), Governor of the Spanish Netherlands, crowned by Victory on the battlefield, en grisaille sold for GBP 29,875.00 (€ 48,336.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abraham van Diepenbeeck; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Die Rettung des Heiligen Paulus nach dem Schiffbruch. sold at auction in March 2019 with the realized price of CHF 72,500.00 (€ 64,816.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Abraham van Diepenbeeck erzielte im April 2002 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit Equestrian portrait of Cardinal Infante Ferdinand of Austria (1609-1641), Governor of the Spanish Netherlands, crowned by Victory on the battlefield, en grisaille für GBP 29.875,00 (€ 48.336,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00.
