In December 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900, which included the work Costume Study For The Portrait Of A Girl, Full-Length (Recto); Study Of An Arm Resting On A Chair, And A Counterproof Of A Study Of A Standing Man (Verso) by Abraham van den Tempel. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 16,250.00 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham van den Tempel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a gentleman and a young boy, both three-quarter length, with a putto, which sold at auction in January 2021 for USD 40,320.00 (€ 33,226.21).

Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Costume Study For The Portrait Of A Girl, Full-Length (Recto); Study Of An Arm Resting On A Chair, And A Counterproof Of A Study Of A Standing Man (Verso) von Abraham van den Tempel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 16.250,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham van den Tempel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman and a young boy, both three-quarter length, with a putto beobachtet, die im Januar 2021 für USD 40.320,00 (€ 33.226,21) versteigert wurde.
