Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape with resting shepherdess by Abraham Jansz. Begeyn was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 5,000.00 (€ 564.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Jansz. Begeyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature morte aux chardons et aux papillons in March 2015 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape with resting shepherdess von Abraham Jansz. Begeyn im Dezember 2013 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 5.000,00 (€ 564,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Jansz. Begeyn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature morte aux chardons et aux papillons im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
