annoté et daté '1699' sur la fontaine, diverses études et annotation à la sanguine et au crayon noir au verso, annoté 'Sketches on each side of the Paper / by Genoels.' sur la feuille de montage
On y joint 'L'éducation d'Alexandre' de l'Ecole italienne du XVIIe siècle et une scène de chasse au cerf à l'Antique de l'Ecole italienne vers 1600.

Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
When the work Paysage Classique À La Fontaine by Abraham Genoels was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in October 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 4,421.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abraham Genoels; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paysage Montagneux Avec Un Lac, Un Village Dans Le Fond sold at auction in March 2005 with the realized price of EUR 4,560.00.
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Paysage Classique À La Fontaine von Abraham Genoels im Oktober 2013 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 800,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 4.421,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Abraham Genoels; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Paysage Montagneux Avec Un Lac, Un Village Dans Le Fond im März 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.560,00.
