Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Man Seated In An Interior With A Pipe by Abraham Diepraam was sold in the Old Masters auction at Sothebys in London in April 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,154.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Diepraam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peasants Smoking And Drinking In An Interior in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 79,500.00.

Die Arbeit A Man Seated In An Interior With A Pipe von Abraham Diepraam wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.154,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Diepraam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peasants Smoking And Drinking In An Interior im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 79.500,00.
