A top price for Abraham Blommaert - as previously expected
In June 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Hilly Landscape With Figures By A River by Abraham Blommaert. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 14,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,145.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Hilly Landscape With Figures By A River is the most expensive artwork by Abraham Blommaert that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hilly Landscape With Figures By A River von Abraham Blommaert zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 14.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.145,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Hilly Landscape With Figures By A River das teuerste Kunstwerk von Abraham Blommaert, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
