In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A silver pheasant and other exotic birds amongst classical ruins by Abraham Bisschop. The result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,030.50) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham Bisschop - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paon, Grue Couronnée, Poule Et Poussins Dans Un Parc, which sold at auction in November 2020 for EUR 57,200.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A silver pheasant and other exotic birds amongst classical ruins von Abraham Bisschop zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.030,50) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham Bisschop mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paon, Grue Couronnée, Poule Et Poussins Dans Un Parc beobachtet, die im November 2020 für EUR 57.200,00 versteigert wurde.
