Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Omar Khayyam by Abdur Rahman Chughtai was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,571.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdur Rahman Chughtai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Krishna Instructing Arjuna in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 215,945.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Omar Khayyam von Abdur Rahman Chughtai wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.571,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdur Rahman Chughtai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Krishna Instructing Arjuna im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 215.945,41).
