This artwork by Abdullah Murad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in February 2007. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Night sold for USD 21,000.00 (€ 15,873.02) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abdullah Murad; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,279.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abdullah Murad erzielte im Februar 2007 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Night für USD 21.000,00 (€ 15.873,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Abdullah Murad; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.279,51).
