Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Composition Arkilla Kerka no. 6A by Abdoulaye Konaté was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,408.08). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdoulaye Konaté - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Papillon bleu pour Fès, 2016, which sold at auction in November this year for MAD 957,760.00 (€ 87,715.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition Arkilla Kerka no. 6A von Abdoulaye Konaté kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.408,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdoulaye Konaté mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Papillon bleu pour Fès, 2016 beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für MAD 957.760,00 (€ 87.715,64) versteigert wurde.
