It achieved a price of GBP 456.00 (€ 666.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Admittedly, works by Alexander Rosell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Domestic Bliss in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,752.59).

Die Arbeit Dinner companions, a young girl with her pug von Alexander Rosell wurde im August 2005 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 666,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Rosell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Domestic Bliss im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.752,59).
