Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work North African landscape with palm trees and boats by Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 4,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,000.00 (€ 268.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Istanbul in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,989.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit North African landscape with palm trees and boats von Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 4.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.000,00 (€ 268,50) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andreas Christian Riis Carstensen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Istanbul im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.989,71).
