Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work Highland cattle watering in a mountainous landsape by A. Lewis. The price achieved of GBP 776.75 (€ 1,162.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00. Other works by A. Lewis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2004 the work Highland cattle watering; and Highland Cattle at the edge of a loch was auctioned for GBP 956.00 (€ 1,427.35).
