The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,377.50 (€ 8,049.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, View on a canal near Gouda is the most expensive artwork by A. de Groote that we have observed at auctions so far.
