Gudrun Petersdorff lives and works as a freelancer in Leipzig.

1974 A-levels

1974-76 Apprenticeship as a typesetter

1976-1981 Studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig with Hans Mayer-Foreyt and in the painting class with Bernhard Heisig

1989-1992 Master student at the Academy of Arts in Berlin under Werner Stötzer and Dieter Goltzsche

1991-1997 Occupation with ceramics

1999-2000 Freelance work at the Meissen porcelain manufactory

1999-2005 Lecturer at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig for painting, drawing and composition in the basic painting/graphics course

Numerous study trips have taken her to Spain, Vietnam, France, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Bulgaria, Tunisia, Gouadeloupe, the USA, Cambodia, the USSR, Switzerland, Poland, Martinique, Morocco and Israel.
