Light is my story
A warm summer night, after a short rain shower the lights reflect even brighter in the darkness. What fascinates me is the effect of light in its many facets, so that it has become the dominant theme in my works. I am constantly captivated by it in order to bring it to bear on the screen - a challenge that I set myself anew with every picture. My pictures mostly appear to lack visual acuity and are hardly clearly defined - the contours seem to blur. What they all have in common is the depth effect achieved through the spatial composition.
I'm not a quick painter, I take my time - let the picture work on me to see which colors and lighting correspond to my feelings. Every new work is an open experiment for me, a very personal journey.
