Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Lotus by Zhang Daqian. The price achieved of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,462.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Daqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape after Wang Ximeng in April last year with an auction result of HKD 370,495,000.00 (€ 44,795,542.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus von Zhang Daqian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.462,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Daqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape after Wang Ximeng im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 370.495.000,00 (€ 44.795.542,37).
