A top price for Zao Wou-Ki - as previously expected
The work 29.09.64. by Zao Wou-Ki was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 278,000,000.00 (€ 33,004,566.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 220,000,000.00 – 280,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, 29.09.64. is the most expensive artwork by Zao Wou-Ki that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit 29.09.64. von Zao Wou-Ki kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 278.000.000,00 (€ 33.004.566,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 220.000.000,00 – 280.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist 29.09.64. das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zao Wou-Ki, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
