Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yu Youren could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Su Shi'S Poem In Cursive Script changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,009.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Youren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,820,000.00 (€ 411,280.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Youren konnte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Su Shi'S Poem In Cursive Script für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.009,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Youren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.820.000,00 (€ 411.280,89).
