Inscribed and signed Fei'an Yu Zhao, dated yichou year (1937), with a dedication and two seals of the artist. The reverse signed Xiaoxu, with the same dedication and one seal of the artist

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bird on Camellia; Calligraphy in Running Script by Yu Fei'An was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in August last year. The price achieved of HKD 31,875.00 (€ 4,034.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Fei'An achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paradise Flycatchers By Magnolia in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 15,720,000.00 (€ 1,770,095.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bird on Camellia; Calligraphy in Running Script von Yu Fei'An kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 31.875,00 (€ 4.034,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Fei'An erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paradise Flycatchers By Magnolia im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.720.000,00 (€ 1.770.095,31).
