Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1933, 1939 and 1940
Three oban yoko-e prints, the first titled Chugoku no komachi (Small Town in Chugoku) along the left margin, dated Showa 8 (1933), the English title Small Town in Chugoku along the lower left margin, 25.6cm x 38.5cm (10 1/16in x 15 1/8in); the second titled Koko (Hukou), dated Showa 14 (1939) along the left margin, the title in Roman script Koko along the lower left margin, 25.5cm x 38cm (10 1/16in x 14 15/16in); the third titled Sekishozan (Shizhongshan), dated Showa 15 (1940) along the left margin, the title in Roman script Sekishozan along the lower left margin, 26cm x 39cm (10¼in x 15 3/8in); all with Jizuri seal; all signed in ink Yoshida with seal Hiroshi, and signed in pencil in Roman script Hiroshi Yoshida along the lower right margin; all framed and glazed; the second and third accompanied by a copy of a letter from Jack Hiller dated 1978 taped to the verso of each frame, detailing each print and the artist.
