This artwork by Yannis Moralis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in May last year. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Figure I, Figure II, 1982 sold for EUR 7,012.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yannis Moralis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Romance in November this year with an auction result of EUR 660,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yannis Moralis erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Figure I, Figure II, 1982 für EUR 7.012,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yannis Moralis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Romance im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 660.800,00.
