Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal, which included the work Pavilion For Listening To The Sound Of Banana Leaves In The Wind by Yang Jin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,547.10), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Jin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Zhang Yiniang in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 482,500.00 (€ 358,762.73).
