Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work May Rain by Xiao Rusong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 500,000.00 (€ 46,174.80), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Rusong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life by The Window, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 150,224.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit May Rain von Xiao Rusong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 46.174,80) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Rusong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life by The Window beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 150.224,94) versteigert wurde.
