This artwork by Wu Hufan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. In the Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection auction, the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 119,700.00 (€ 13,850.66) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Hufan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verdant Mountains In Morning Mist in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 15,720,000.00 (€ 1,770,095.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Hufan erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection wurde die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 119.700,00 (€ 13.850,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Hufan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verdant Mountains In Morning Mist im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.720.000,00 (€ 1.770.095,31).
