The work Winter Scene – Fig Tree by Wu Guanzhong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. It achieved a price of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 174,955.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Winter Scene – Fig Tree von Wu Guanzhong kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 174.955,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zhou Village im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000.000,00 (€ 26.588.934,53).
