Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Massive Cliff by Wu Guanzhong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. The price achieved of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 583,185.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
