Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Farmyard animals by Wilhelm Schreuer for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,180.95). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Schreuer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russische Soldaten überqueren den Rhein bei Düsseldorf im Januar 1814, which sold at auction in September 2017 for EUR 6,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Farmyard animals von Wilhelm Schreuer für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.180,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Schreuer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russische Soldaten überqueren den Rhein bei Düsseldorf im Januar 1814 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für EUR 6.200,00 versteigert wurde.
