Admittedly, works by Willem Koekkoek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch winter In The Streets Of A Dutch Town in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 228,750.00.

Die Arbeit A Dutch town on a Summer’s day von Willem Koekkoek wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.707,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
