Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Buste de femme (Bust of a Woman) by Vu Cao Dam. The price achieved of HKD 403,200.00 (€ 47,313.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vu Cao Dam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femmes au bain (Women Bathing) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 8,050,000.00 (€ 849,100.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buste de femme (Bust of a Woman) von Vu Cao Dam zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 47.313,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vu Cao Dam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femmes au bain (Women Bathing) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.050.000,00 (€ 849.100,57).
