Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terz by Victor Vasarely was sold in the PRINTS BY VICTOR VASARELY auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 446.50 (€ 652.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Terz von Victor Vasarely wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion PRINTS BY VICTOR VASARELY bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 446,50 (€ 652,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
