In December 2013 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art contemporain, which included the work Les Lutteurs by Victor Vasarely. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 16,875.00 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Lutteurs von Victor Vasarely zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 16.875,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
