Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Victor Vasarely could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victor Vasarely: Prints & Multiples auction, the work Erebus changed hands for GBP 204.00 (€ 302.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Vasarely konnte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Victor Vasarely: Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Erebus für GBP 204,00 (€ 302,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
