Auction result fails to reach estimate
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Seascape with steamship by Victor Qvistorff for DKK 2,200.00 (€ 1,922.74). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Qvistorff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work German warships in New York harbor honoring the visit of Kaiser Wilhelm's son, with a view of the New York skyline, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,738.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seascape with steamship von Victor Qvistorff für DKK 2.200,00 (€ 1.922,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Qvistorff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit German warships in New York harbor honoring the visit of Kaiser Wilhelm's son, with a view of the New York skyline beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.738,09) versteigert wurde.
