This artwork by Vicente Silva Manansala achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Candle Vendor sold for HKD 2,080,000.00 (€ 254,042.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vicente Silva Manansala - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tiangge (Market Scene), which sold at auction in November this year for HKD 8,190,000.00 (€ 961,056.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vicente Silva Manansala erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Candle Vendor für HKD 2.080.000,00 (€ 254.042,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Vicente Silva Manansala mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tiangge (Market Scene) beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für HKD 8.190.000,00 (€ 961.056,11) versteigert wurde.
