This artwork by Vanessa Bell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September last year. In the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction, the work Flowers in Quentin Bell's mug sold for GBP 30,540.00 (€ 34,757.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vanessa Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Bouquet in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 256,250.00 (€ 301,027.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vanessa Bell erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women wurde die Arbeit Flowers in Quentin Bell's mug für GBP 30.540,00 (€ 34.757,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vanessa Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Bouquet im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 256.250,00 (€ 301.027,74).
