Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Christ and the Centurion: Design for a lunette by Valerio Castello was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2000. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,399.76). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valerio Castello achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family With The Infant St John The Baptist in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 192,048.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Christ and the Centurion: Design for a lunette von Valerio Castello wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.399,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Valerio Castello erzielen.
