The work Sheep before a landscape by Thomas Sidney Cooper was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. It achieved a price of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,954.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Sidney Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reposing on God's Acre in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 171,650.00 (€ 250,603.59).

Die Arbeit Sheep before a landscape von Thomas Sidney Cooper kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.954,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Sidney Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reposing on God's Acre im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 171.650,00 (€ 250.603,59).
