Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Recto: Study Of A Dead Soldier Verso: The Lower Half Of A Study Of A Male Nude by Thomas Couture was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,237.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Couture achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study For 'The Decadence Of The Romans' in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,349.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Recto: Study Of A Dead Soldier Verso: The Lower Half Of A Study Of A Male Nude von Thomas Couture kam im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
