Christ supported by his Mother's right forearm, tenderly stretching his arms around her neck, painted realistically in soft tones, Christ's eyes a vivid blue-green, the silver oklad with gilding on the garments, the cloisonné enamel halo with vari-coloured floral sprays and blue beadwork, the name plates in champlevé enamel
