In February 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Work From Home, which included the work Posi Mushroom, 2002 by Takashi Murakami. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,370.63), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Work From Home durch, in der auch die Arbeit Posi Mushroom, 2002 von Takashi Murakami zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.370,63) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
