Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Giant Cable by Sybil Andrews was sold in the The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,219.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sybil Andrews have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Speedway (C. Sa 29) in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,251.03).

Die Arbeit The Giant Cable von Sybil Andrews wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.219,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sybil Andrews auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Speedway (C. Sa 29) im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.251,03).
