Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde, which included the work Steeplechasing by Sybil Andrews. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,144.00 (€ 7,077.65). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sybil Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Speedway (C. Sa 29) in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,251.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde durch, in der auch die Arbeit Steeplechasing von Sybil Andrews zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.144,00 (€ 7.077,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sybil Andrews erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Speedway (C. Sa 29) im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.251,03).
