Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde, which included the work Sledgehammers by Sybil Andrews. The price achieved of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,796.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sybil Andrews have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Speedway (C. Sa 29) in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,251.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sledgehammers von Sybil Andrews zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.796,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sybil Andrews auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Speedway (C. Sa 29) im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.251,03).
