Linocut printed in orange chrome, emerald green, cobalt blue, viridian and Chinese blue, 1931, on thickish oriental laid paper, signed, titled and numbered 18/60 in pencil, further numbered and annotated 'SA 47' in pencil in the margins, printed in 1981 from new blocks cut by Andrews after the first blocks were damaged, framed

Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Hyde Park by Sybil Andrews for GBP 7,680.00 (€ 8,847.07). This price was achieved in the auction The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sybil Andrews have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Speedway (C. Sa 29) in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,251.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hyde Park von Sybil Andrews für GBP 7.680,00 (€ 8.847,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sybil Andrews auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Speedway (C. Sa 29) im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 71.251,03).
