Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction TAKE IT TO THE STREETS: Auction to benefit HOCA Foundation, which included the work Grandpa 2001 - 2017 by Swoon. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,589.75). Admittedly, works by Swoon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Walkie (Installation Box) - 2015 in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 23,035.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion TAKE IT TO THE STREETS: Auction to benefit HOCA Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grandpa 2001 - 2017 von Swoon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.589,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Swoon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Walkie (Installation Box) - 2015 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.035,00.
