Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View from a window by Sven Erixson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 13,000.00 (€ 1,185.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sven Erixson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Målarens hus" (The artists house) in April 2014 with an auction result of SEK 900,000.00 (€ 99,733.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View from a window von Sven Erixson im November letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 13.000,00 (€ 1.185,02) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sven Erixson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Målarens hus" (The artists house) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 900.000,00 (€ 99.733,24).
