In April 2011 Christies in New York held the auction The Feminine Ideal: An Important Private Collection of Photographs, which included the work Corps en Morceaux I and Constriction VI, 1991 by Stephane Graff. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,060.39), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Stephane Graff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Woman With The Girl With The Pearl in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 34,978.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Feminine Ideal: An Important Private Collection of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Corps en Morceaux I and Constriction VI, 1991 von Stephane Graff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.060,39) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephane Graff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Woman With The Girl With The Pearl im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 34.978,06).
